Donut Team

Donut Team is an ongoing project where I take on multiple roles as co-founder, web developer, community manager, and more.

I’ve been instrumental in building and maintaining a dynamic online platform that enables gamers to share mods, tools, and resources for classic games like The Simpsons: Hit & Run. From designing its foundational architecture to continuously enhancing its features, I’ve been deeply engaged in every aspect of its development, ensuring it meets the needs of a thriving and passionate community.

Key Achievements:

  • Platform Growth: Over the years, the website has expanded significantly, now hosting a vibrant community of nearly 50,000 registered users and attracting approximately 500,000 unique visitors per month.

  • Scalable Infrastructure: As the platform's popularity grew, I implemented solutions to handle increased traffic, ensuring stable performance and a seamless user experience.

  • Tech Stack Utilization: Leveraged a wide range of modern technologies, including PHP 8, JavaScript, PJAX, C#, CSS, MySQL, and other tools, to deliver a dynamic and engaging platform.

  • Community Focus: Designed and maintained features that foster collaboration, such as mod sharing, forums, and custom tools for game enthusiasts.

Challenges Overcome:

  • Scaling for Demand: Transitioned to scalable hosting solutions and optimized back-end processes to accommodate the platform's growth.

  • Performance Enhancements: Addressed performance bottlenecks by optimizing code and database queries, improving load times, and enhancing the overall user experience.

  • Adaptation to Trends: Continuously modernized the platform to meet evolving web standards and user expectations.

Donut Team continues to thrive as a go-to destination for gaming enthusiasts worldwide, and I remain actively involved in its ongoing development and innovation. It’s a testament to my ability to design and sustain a platform that grows with its community while addressing the challenges of scaling and modernization.
