Our team of four inherited this project from the original creator, Lucas, and quickly had to spin up on the existing codebase. We began learning the structure and quirks of the original work and slowly eased into expanding its capabilities.
Our current focus is developing new hacks to enable features that were never part of the original game. This work pushed the limits of The Simpsons Hit & Run and provided the modding community with powerful new possibilities.
This project was my first real experience with Assembly, reverse-engineering a 32-bit Windows application, and working in C++. This learning curve became a crash course in systems programming.
